Car insurance due
It is that time of the year for
renewal of vehicle insurance. The
American Express Bank is selling
risk class auto insurance commenc-
ing Monday through Friday, up to
March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
and 3 to 3:30 p.m.
The present prices will be used
as deposits as these prices will
increase at a later date. The pre-
sent prices are the following: for
a 1A or 4 type policy Kr.35,000,
for a IB or 8 type policy Kr.
40,000 and for a LC type policy
Kr. 45,000. The above prices are
considered to be deposits as with
the new rates; you will be expect-
ed to pay the difference at a lat-
er date.
Reenlistment bonus
Any enlisted aervicemember who
was one of the plaintiffs seeking
a variable reenlistment bonus in
I either the federal court cases en-
titled "Allen versus U.S." or "Ca^
ri»i versus U.S." should call the
Naval Station Legal Office.
Mail service
A "Command Memo" is now avail-
able at the base post office for
use by all personnel to explain
the irregular mail service pre-
sently being experienced by the
NATO Base. This memo should be
enclosed in all monetary corres-
pondence in which there is a time
deadline involved.
Women cop Basketball title
Congratulations to the Keflavik
Women's Basketball Team for last
week's great win! They are the
new champions of the 1980 Northern
European Regional Women's Basket-
ball Tournament. Score results
were: Keflavik 51 to Edzell's 17,
and Keflavik 40 to London's 32 on
the first day; the second day
brought London 43 to Edzell's 33,
and Keflavik beat London 46 to 31.
Dining hours changed
Th« Enlisted Dining Facility
will modify the breakfast and
lunch hours on March 11, Friday
due to the advancement examination
Iwhich is to be given at that time.
Breakfast will be served from 6 to
6:45 a.m. and lunch, will be from
11:30 a.si. to 1 p.m.

Los Angeles Community College of- Two courses will be offered at

Navy Campus for Achievement.
For the business oriented student
Accounting X, Business Data Proces-
sing II and Human Relations for Su-
pervisors are offered.
The ever popular Private Pilots
Ground School, and Black and White
Beginning Photography are also
available. For the AJ students,
Criminal Investigation is offered
and in the Broadcasting Curricu-
lum, the class will be Radio and
TV Acting.
Two new courses will be offered,
Automotive Tune Up and Cabinet Mil-
king. For the Electronics Majors
the Electronics 44, which prepares
students for the first and second
class FCC Testing is offered.
Other courses offered are Human
Biology—this course fulfills a
science requirement for the degree;
Music III—music appreciation which
fulfills a humanities requirement;
Dev Com 21—fundamentals of writing
tfhich fulfills an English require-
ment; Spanish 001—elementary Span-
ish that fulfills a Humanities re-
quirement; Math 30—arithmetic for
college students, an excellent pre-
math, for more advanced math classes;
and Photo 017—introduction to color
photography.

Term Four for the University of
Maryland should prove to be an ex-
citing time to take courses.
Mrs. Cathy Jorgenson, who has
previously studied for her doctorate
in Iceland, is returning to Keflavik
to offer a course in Viking history.
Hist. 319 will examine conditions in
Scandinavia from the 8th to the 11th
centuries, as well as the impact of
the Viking expansion upon the polit-
ical, religious, social and economic
structures of Western Europe. This
course will be held on Monday and
Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to
9:30 p.m.
Dr. Gil Dunn, a resident instruc-
tor who is coming to Iceland, will
be teaching Socy 100—introduction
to sociology, Monday and Wednesday
from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; and Socy
230—dynamics of social interaction,
Monday through Thursday from 5:10 to
6:25 p.m. This course may be used
as interdisciplinary PSYCH credit.
For those students who need a
humanities course, Mr. Athalstan
Ingolfsson will be offering Engl.
201—world literature, Tuesday and
Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30
