Suðuroy, and several other examples could

be mentioned.

/ Uppistovubeitinum is a perfect example

of a Faroese farm-mound, and it seems

clear, that the problem complex of farm-

mounds is highly actual in the Faroe Is-

lands.

Archaeological Seminar. The North Atlantic and

North-West Russia AD 800-1400«, September 7-9th

2. The excavations were carried out by the museum's

archaeological staff in co-operation with various

teams af archaeology students from Denmark, Nor-

way, Sweden and the USA, as well as with loeal help.
