Securing the preservation of the numerous wooden finds was a financial headache, however thanks to a subsidy from Føroya Fornminnagrunnur, Tórshavn, a great number of selected wooden implements could be preserved by the Danish National Museum's De- partment for Woodpreservation in Brede. The re- mainder of wooden implements will be preserved by the Faroese National Museum's own conservator Súsanna Joensen. .
