NIOLSON’S FORT GARRY BREWERY LIMITED: This ís th®
new name of the company developed over the years by the Hoesch&i
family as a Manitoba industry, with growth of this brewery parallelii*g
that of Manitoba.
In 1786, another brewing tradition was founded when John
Molson established his brewery in Montreal. During th$ past 175
years tfte name “Molson” has become synonymous with the Cana-
dian brewing industry.
These historic breweries have now joined forcee. It is particu*
larly fitttng that this final Western link in the company’s Cariadian
expansion should be celebrated during Molson’s 175th Annivcrsary
Year.
As an important customer oí Canadian farmers - espeeially
barley growers - and as a major employer of Canadian workers,
Molson’s has always endeavoured to make significant contributiona
to the economy of the communities it serves.
Molson’s Fort Garry Brewery Limited will continue to offer
the traditional Fort Garry products to this province; at the
same time, this coi«pany will distribute Molson’s national
brands throughout Manitoba.
