Now the land sinks beneath the sea.
The sun goes black.
Heaven is stripped of its bright stars.
The fires of the world ash rage,
throw steam and flames to heaven
itself.
I read the future, the twilight of the
doomed gods.
I see the green of growing things
again.
The earth arises from the sea,
the eagle hunts for fish
in the torrent of waters.
Well, would you know more ?
S&ng,
Óðinn will wield the blood wand of
prophecy.
Baldur and Höður, the sons of his
brothers
will set up their dwelling
in wide Wind-Home.
Well, wouldyou knowmore?
I see a hall, fairer than sunlight
thatched with red gold.
That place is Gimli.
There the guiltless gods
will live in ease forever.

(The song of the Sybil) from The ElderEdda.
