Cold and rainy weather plus the Dodgers cooled the fighting Tigers off. W. Grover looked real good in pitching the 9 to 3 victory. In this game which took place Wedn- esday, the Tigers were hurt by pitching depth. Jeff Soper looked real good in this first outing. A tight defensive game was played on Thursday between the Braves and Yankees with the Braves coming out on the top of a 9 to 6 score. Winning pitcher was J. Conley and the loser was M. Bush. A little more experience with some of these pitchers and hitters and we should see some real good baseball. Natural talent and the coaching staff have done a real good job. We bowl from 1:15 to approximately 3:30 p.m. Every dependent wife is invited to come join in the fun. Right now we need substitutes who will later join the teams. Even if you’ve never had a bowl- ing ball in your hands, you’re welcome to come out and give it a try. We don’t expect miracles of our subs or regular bowlers, we mainly get together to bowl and have fun. Why not come and give it a try? I’m sure you will enjoy bowling once you begin. It’ll give you a chance to be with old friends and meet a lot of new friends. If you’d like more information, please give me a call—Myra West (on base ext,) 7147.
