Oklahoma A & M QC Overtime Tussle
Seconds after this picture was taken, Pfc.Joe
Leyden's left-handed shot split the twines for
two MP Mustang pointB in their cage battle with
the Navy. Leyden, a Philadelphia boy, aided the
MPs in scuttling the Navy, 56-45,with 12 points
and a sterling floor' game. The win enabled the
MPs to occupy first place - until they were up-
set by the Ack-Acks, 40-38, early this week.
Leading the touchdown
parade was the Oklahoma
A & M-Tulsa thriller in
which the Golden Hurri-
cane was knocked out of
the select class by the
Aggies, 46-40.
Army had too many le-
thal weapons in their
skirmish with Duke, and
blasted the Blue Devils
by a 27-7 score.
Trailing in the final
quarter, 7-6, the Irish
of Notre Dame managed
to tally once more and
defeat Illinois, 13-7.
Navy scuttled Penn at
Franklin Field, 26-0,in

for toe badminton tournament are being filed
daily, promising a large field by November 7
when entries close....The tourney is open to
