Margaret Finnsson
1911 -1963
She was born Nov. 17th, 1911, at
Víðir, Man. Her parents were Jó-
hanna and Albert Wilson, early
pioneers of the Víðir district. She
was one of eight children of which
two sisters and two brothers have
predeceased her.
In 1932 she married Sigfus Finns-
son, a farmer in the Víðir commu-
nity where she lived all her life
and took a very active part in com-
munity affairs and especially in
the activities of the Ladies Aid of
which she was a member for many
years. Margaret was artistic by
nature and was untiring in beauti-
fying her home in various ways,
and her greatest joy was to work
in harmony with God in cultivat-
ing flowers and shrubs around her house and thus create beauty
for all. Her husband was always a willing helper, and they gladly
shared of their plants with others.
She died April 2nd, 1963 at Arborg Memorial Hospital after
a lengthy illness. Besides her husband she is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Nicolson of Winnipeg and Hulda, a R.N. at the
Arborg Hospital; a son Donald of Víðir; two sisters, Mrs. Whitney,
Winnipeg, and Mrs. Hughes, Arborg; two brothers, Karl Wilson,
Selkirk, and Emil Wilson of Vancouver, B.C., and five grand-
children.
We of the Ladies Aid miss her greatly, her cheerfulness and
loyalty, and we extend our sympathy to her husband and family.
God bless her memory.
