'What’s Happening at the Tour Office
BLUE MT. SKIING 10:30AM
SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS
JANUARY-APRIL
WEATHER PERMITTING
Tour includes round trip transportation
to the ski slopes at Blue Mountain. De-
parts the base at 10:30 am and returns
around 6pm. The skiing area is open
when road conditions, snow and weath-
er permits. Buses depart from the MWR
Tour Office. Blafjoll skiing Area - With
its 11 lifts, Blafjoll (Blue Mountains) is
the country's largest skiing area. Ev-
erybody from beginners to experienced
competitors, can find a slope suited to
his or her ability, and in evening the
main slopes are illumintated. Cross-
country tracks from 3,5-1 Okm are made
weather permitting, and a 5km section
is illuminated. There is also a refresh-
ment center selling food and drinks with
facilities for those who have brought
their own. Price for a one day pass
per adult is ISK 1200 and per child
is ISK 500. Price for transfer to and
from base is $25/adult and $15/child
(4-11). Infants free.
BLUE LAGOON/VIKING FEAST 5PM
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11
Bathing in the relaxing water of the Blue
Lagoon for one hour. The lagoon is
rich in a unique combination of natural
minerals, blue green algae, and white
silica mud, which gives the lagoon a
soft, milky, aqua marine color. From the
Blue Lagoon we head for the town of
Hafnarfjordur and Fjorukrain restaurant
for the popular Viking Feast. Vikings in
full armor greet the guests upon arrival,
and entertainment is provided through-
out the evening. The tour departs from
the Tour Office at 5pm and returns at
11pm. Price is $93/adult.
VALENTINES WEEKEND
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11-13
Spend your Valentines weekend with
your sweetheart at Hotel Ingolfur. The
Hotel is located by Selfoss, only 1 hour
and 30 minutes drive from Keflavik. All
rooms at Hotel Ingolfur are of high stan-
dard. Bathroom with shower, closet, TV,
sitting corner, hairdryer and coffee/tea
making facilities. Each room also has
a private veranda with hot tub. Price
includes accommodation for two nights
with breakfast, 3-course dinner Saturday
night, 1 bottle of Champagne in each
room, and if weather permits, a small
walking tour with guide. Saturday after-
noon a 30 minute introduction about the
Icelandic horse. Saturday evening they
will play smooth music and people are
welcome to dance. Price is $202/adult.
SOUTH SHORE TOUR 8AM
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12
Explore the south coast of Iceland where
fertile farmlands have a background of
one of the world’s best known volcanos
and beautiful fresh waterfalls. This tour
will take participants through the towns
of Selfoss, Hella and Jvolsvollur en
route to visiting the unique and beautiful
waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skoga-
foss, one of the highest in Iceland. Leg-
end has it that a chest of gold is hidden
under Skogafoss. Price $111/adult,
$56/child (4-11), infants free.
LADIES NIGHT OUT 5PM
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18
Every lady likes to be spoiled a bit. Why
not? Relaxation in the warm lagoon in
a fascinating steamy environment is a
one of a kind experience. It is famous
for its active ingredients and their ef-
fects on body and soul. Price includes
transportation to the lagoon and back,
welcome drink and deep relaxing mas-
sage for 30 minutes. Return to base
around 9:30pm. $75/person.

Spend two nights at Hotel Kea/Harpa.
Inclusive in the price is round trip air-

from Akureyri airport to hotel and back.

WINTER ADVENTURE 7:30AM
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Departing from Keflavik by coach for
a genuine winter adventure! See and
experience glaciers at close proximity.
During the tour you have a choice of rid-
ing an ATV for approximately 1 hour or a
snow mobile for an hour on the beautiful
coastline of the South of Iceland, sur-
rounded by spectacular scenery. It is
necessary to bring along warm clothing
and sturdy shoes. All necessary equip-
ment will be provided and is included.
It is essential to present a valid driving
license in order to drive an ATV or snow
mobile. This tour is not recommended
for children. Price is $206/adult (2
people sharing the snow mobile).
