Rapping this week spotlights
the graduating seniors of A. T.
Mahan High School. This is a
time in the lives of ail 1 people
where future plans mean every-
thing, and we would like to wish
these 12 young men and women the
best in their future endeavors.
• Louis Kelly has been accep-
ted at Mount St. Mary College in
Maryland. He plans to major in
biology and prepare himself for
medical school. He is presently
the photographer for the school
newspaper, The Viking Press, and
a lab assistant for the physical
science classes. He was bom in
Toronto, Canada and has been here
for three years.
• Gerald Duncan has been ac-
cepted at East Central College in
Ada, Okla., where he plans a ma-
jor in physical education. He
as participated in football,
sketball, volleyball, and soft-
11. He is also an active mero-
:r of the Teen Club. Witchita
Falls, Texas, is Gerald's home,
and he has lived in Iceland for
two years.
e Eddie Pensel is a native of
Iceland and has lived here all
his life. He plans to go to Pa-
ducha Junior College in Kentucky.
Because of his outstanding talent
on the high school basketball
team, he was accepted for the
Icelandic National Basketball
team. He hopes to play basket-
ball in college and turn profes-
sional later.
e Dave Burnham has been in
Iceland for two years. While at-
tending Mahan he has participated
in football, basketball and vol-
leyball and has become a member
of the National Honor Society and
Mu Alpha Theta. He has held the
post of vice - president of the
Student Council. The University
of Utah is Dave's next stop where
he plans to major in science en-
gineering.

• Betty Devaney was bom in
Reykjavik, Iceland, and has lived
here all her life. After a sum-
mer's work stint, she plans to
attend Winona State University in
Minnesota. Her activities in-
clude the position of Senior
flass Treasurer, and editing the
ior section of the yearbook.

to athletics, she has been a part
of the work study program, and an
active member of the Teen Club.
• Kevin Sullivan has been in
Iceland for three years, and was
bom in Fontainebleau, France. He
is the Senior Class President and
was on the high school football
team. As for the future, he is
planning to go to either voca-
tional school or Junior college.
His interests lie in music and
engineering, and adds cycling and
skiing as hobbies.
• Debbie Hickey was bom in
Seattle, Wash., and has been in
Iceland for a year. She was the
vice - president of the Senior
Class, and adds cheerleading, the
yearbook staff and volleyball to
her list of activities. She is
planning to attend the University
of New Mexico next fall and major
in physical education to become a
teacher.
• Lucille Campo was bom in
Richmond, Va. She came to Ice-
land last July, and this year has
been so busy we wonder when she
found time for school. She is
valedictorian of her class, the
class secretary, Student Council
representative, cheerleader, in
the National Honor Society, and
on the volleyball and basketball
teams. She plans to go to F. T.
Nichols State University in Thi-
bodeaux, La.
• Terry Broyles was bom in
Fort Worth, Texas, and has been
in Iceland for a year. He has
participated in the work study
program and plans to spend the
summer working.
• Dan Smithson, bom in Land-
stuhl, Germany, has been in Ice-
land for two and a half years,and
has been active in sports, espec-
ially basketball. He plans to go
to vocational school to become
either a mechanic or electrician.
Junior college or the military
are also in his plans.
• Mike Dunn was bom in Ports-
mouth, Va., and has been here for
two years. He was Student Coun-
