OMD moves up;
NavFac still leads
Bud Deal and Charlie Hicken—
bottom were standouts in Inter-
national Bowling league competi-
tion Thursday, May 20.
CMD moved into second place,
three games behind NavFac, by
taking its match with Supply 4-1.
Deal paced OMD with the high
game of the night with a 230. He
finished with a 549 series, Jerry
Bowles was Supply's high man with
a 440 set.
Hickenbottom's 595 series led
third place CommSta to a 3-1 win
over the Marine Barracks. Don
Wallace's 517 was high for the
Marines.
NavFac remained in first place
by downing NSGA 3-1. John Ryan's
561 and Dave Manney's 560 series
led NavFac, while NSGA’s Rich
Biancardis hit a series of 552.
IDF, led by Richard Hill's 498
took a 3-1 match from ComFAir.

with a 529 series.
Tom Wagner's 500 mark led Wea-
ther over Air Ops 3-1. Leading
for Air Ops was Randall Keena
rolling a 534 series.

place Food Service 4-0, in the American Bowling League action Monday,
May 24.
Weapons left the alleys as a happy bunch of keglers. Joel John-

NSGA sweeps AFI
The North Atlantic League's top team dropped four Saturday, b!
remained in first, and two of the three teams tied for second also
took four, to tighten up the Saturday keglers on May 22.
AFI, the number one squad, was
but stayed ahead of the pack by
one game. AFI was headed by Dick
Swanson with a 560 series, while
Vem Kingery was high for NSGA
with a 221/535.
ComFAirKef's Pappy Nelson rol-
led a 219/636, the morning's high
series, to lead his teammates to
four wins over Admin. Chuck Lu-
cas was high for the losers with
a 531 set.
Jim Knox had the day's high
game, a 233, to point the way for
AMD's keglers to four wins over
Air Ops. Jim also had a 620 ser-
ies. Team captain Bill Smith was
high for Air Ops with a 486 three-
some.
The only team not to take four
games was 57th FIS, who took
three wins from Rockville. The
losses dropped Rockville from se-
cond to fourth place. Pacing the
57th squad was Tom Peebles with a
484, while Rockville's Charlie
Champlin rolled a 589.
CommSta followed Gil Calise's
473 set to take four wins from
Comptroller. Roy Bollenger led
victory with a 512 series, while
Cass Cabacungan was high for the
losers with a 548 set.
In other aBL action, the top
two teams both split, and the
polls rated the some as last week
except that fifth through seventh
spots shifted.
First place is still in a dead
lock between CommSta and 57th,
with the former having a 556 pin
advantage.
57th FIS's Chuck Glendening
rolled a 223/570, both highs for
the night, as his team split with
Rockville No. 2, taking total
pinsby only five. John Frechette
led Rockville with a 559 series.
CommSta No. 3 split a down
to the wire set with BOQ. Skip

Hagelund led CommSta with a 545,
while Ron Rodzik was high for BOQ
with a 557 series.
NSGA No. 1 took three from
NavFac, as Rick Lauderbaugh rol-
led a 560 series. Vem Johnson
and John Bartlett were NavFac's
pacers with 506 and 507 series'
respectively. Total pin differ-
ence in the match was only ten
pins.
The Black Knights and AMD no.
two met and split two games each
as John McCarron paced the Knights
with a 546. Tom Taylor led AMD's
attack with a 484 series.
Ken Crist rolled a 518 set as
AFI No. 3 took three from Air
Ops No. 1. Mark Maxwell led
the latter team with a 515 series.

Triplett helped the cause by rol-

NCO Wives hold
bowling banquet
The N.C.O. Wives Bowling Leagj
held their annual league ban'
at the 56 Club on May 17.
The first three teams placing
were announced, as will the
most outstanding players of the
league.
First place honors went to
team No. 2. Members of the team
consist of Marian Steinman who
was one of the outstanding bowl-
ers. Others were Linda Ferguson,
Elaine Hart, Dottie Pratorius,
and Marti Kofski.
Team No. 7 captured second
place. Outstanding bowlers for
this team were Leslie Griffin,
and Beverly Moore. Other players
making up the team are Angel Le-
clair, Nobuko Moulder, and Bar-
bara Watson.
Bowlers of team No. 3 took
third. On the team Sue Kreidler,
and Judy Stokes made the list
with the rest of the outstanding
players. Linda Woodruff, Jo Has-
ting, and Mary Ann Wagner finish-
ed out the team.
The banquet also named out-
standing players in the league.
Ann Ray received high average of
a 164. The high series went to
both Judy Stokes and Sue Kreidler
rolling a 547. High game went to
Marian Steinman with a 216. Bev-
erly Moore rolled a big 621 for
the high series handicap. High
game handicap went to Leslie Grif^
fin with a 238. The most impro'j
bowler on the league was Beve.”
