Seaman’s day
celebrations
The annual Seaman’s Day cele-
brations were held in Keflavik on
Sunday, June 6. The pageant was
marked with numerous competitive
events that include tug-of-wars
pillow fights, women's events and
a soccer game.
The festivities were held at
the harbor in Keflavik. The most
spectacular events were the tug-
of-war and the pillow fights. In
the former contest, the teams op-
posed each other from two dock
areas with a watery fate in be-
tween for the losers. Sportsman-
ship reignedas winners also jump-
ed in.
