falls on the Air Force.
• TSgt. Michael J. Rolfe has
been presented the Air Force Com-
mendation Medal as an Avionics
Maintenance Supervisor at ADC
headquarters, Ent AFB, Colorado.
He received the award for the
period July 1969 to May 1971. The
citation praised his management
and planning abilities.
• TSgt. Henrik S. Larsen was
awarded the Air Force Commendation
Medal for meritorious service with
the 64th Field Maintenance Squad-
ron, PMEL section, Little Rock
AFB, Arkansas. The award was for
the period January 1966 to May
1971.

been presented the Air Force Com-
dation Medal for outstanding

• SSgt. Anthony Martino, Jr.,
has been presented the Air Force

1969 to October 1970. The cita-
tion read in part, "his profes-
sionalism and devotion to duty
have played a significant role in
contributing to the success of the
United States Air Force mission
in Southeast Asia.1'

been presented the Air Force Com-
mendation Medal for meritorious
service as assistant NCOIC,Dep-
uty Commander of Materiel (Admin.
Division), Fairchild AFB, Wash-
ington,from January 1969 to March
1971.
e Capt. Thomas E. Quinn has
been awarded the Air Force Coro-
, mendation Medal for meritorious
service as the Squadron Admini-
strative Officer, 963rd AC&W,
McClellan AFB, California, from
* January 1970 to March 1971.
e MSgt. Eugene L. Ethridge has
been named the Outstanding Airman
of the Year for the 57th Fighter
Interceptor Squadron. He com-
peted for the 21st Air Division's

standing Load Crew of the Quar-
ter for the period ending June
30, 1971.
• SSgt. Clayton M. Nolte has
been presented the 57th FIS Zero
Defects Award for his participat-
ion in the program.
• Sgt. Mick W. Blakely has
been presented the Air Force Com-
mendation Medal for meritorious
service as NCOIC, Airman Assign-
ment Preparation Unitfrom Septem-
ber 1969 to May 1971. This high
award is unusual for a first-term
airman, and is indicative of Sgt.
Blakely's professionalism.
• Recognized for their recent

Arnold, Thomas A. Balkovic, Ger-

Red Cross needs volunteers
Mr. Charles Blue, field director of the American fled Cross, and
Linda Boles,chairman of the ARC volunteers here at the naval station,
have announced that a class for new volunteers is planned for later
this month. There are openings for volunteer work in the hospital,
dental clinic, school and the •---------------------------------------
