Three remain
undefeated
on gridiron
In American Football League
action, Supply, VP-49, and AFI
are all undefeated after the
first week of play. NSGA and
AirOps have looked good. NavFac
seems to be the best winless
team so far.
Boot Thompson from Supply is
the leagues leading scorer with
31 points.
CFK took an early lead in the
National Football League, but was
upset by 57th 7-0 which put them
in second place under IDF. IDF
scored more points against Comp-
troller than on anyone the last
three years as they beat them
13-0. Competition is tough as
six ties have already been
chalked up.
The leading scorer for this
league is Mel Doss from CFK with
21 points. Several others have
12 points and may contend.
All-Stars to play
A basketball game between the
Naval Station All-Stars and the
Icelandic Nationals is scheduled
for Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. in the A.
E. House Gymnasium.
