New hours for
CALLER: I want to send some Icelandic gifts home, but would first
lilce to know what the customs restrictions are?
• C.A.L.: Customs regulations state, "Any person in the United
States may receive bona fide gifts through the mail from persons in
foreign countries free of customs
duty provided that fair retail
value (countryof shipment) of all
shipments received by the person
in one day does not exceed $10,"
What this means is that if you
want to send a gift to each mem-
ber of your family, value not ex-
ceeding $10, they can be shipped
in one large box, but must be in-
dividually wrapped within the
larger addressed box.
CALLER: I heard that the Navy
Exchange Toyland would not be
getting anymore toys before the
Christmas holiday, and what they
did get in would be for the young-
fcc boys. Is this true?
He C.A.L.: No, this is not
Prue. The Toyland is continuous-
ly receiving toys for both boys
and girls.
CALLER: Are there any facili-
ties on station to have small ap-
pliances repaired?
• C.A.L.: Minor repairs on
appliances can be done at the
Navy Exchange Radio and TV repair
shop. If you're a "do-it-your-
selfer", you can use the Hobby
Shop Electronics shop.
CALLER: I'm going back to the
States on leave for Christmas,
how much liquor can I take back
with me?
• C.A.L.: You can return to
the U.S. with one gallon of alco-
holic beverages, of which three
quarts must be bottled in the
United States.
CALLER: Why is it that the
Brown Bus is never on schedule?
• C.A.L.: Action Line has
found out that there really isn't
a schedule for the Brown Bus.
It's hours of operation are 7-8
a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:15-
5:30 p.m. The bus makes as many
trips as possible on it's route
during the hours of operation.
Teen Club sponsors
car wash tomorrow
If you are finding it diffi-
cult keeping your car clean dur-
ing these winter months, you're
just the person who can use the
assistance of the Teen Club. They
are sponsoring a car wash tomor-
row at the car rack from 9 a.m.
until 2 p.m. and for $2 you can
get your car cleaned inside and
out. A car wash alone is $1.50.
So you have five hours time to
get over to the car rack and get
all that dirt cleaned off of your
automobile.

White Falcon needs
your cooperation
The White Falcon, like other
base activities, is suffering
from a shortage of personnel and
must alter some of its present
policies.
Those departments or commands
having personnel reenlisting, be-
ing promoted or receiving awards
are requested to help by having
the men come to the White Falcon
office to be photographed and to
furnish information for use in
the paper. This will free news-
paper staffers from the time con-
suming telephone calls and run-
ning around to get information.
Also, if your unit has a story
to tell the paper is always look-
ing for feature material to bet-
ter inform its readers.
