Come to the USO Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. and get involved. Sign-ups are underway for the Oct. 23 trip to Kleifarvatn and Krisuvik. The trip will start at 10:30 a.m. and run until 5 p.m., the price is $2. Monday is Columbus Day and the USO will sponsor a pool tourney to pit one's skill against the champ. Today—Lunch: clam chowder, poached or fried Icelandic fish, meat casserole, lyonnaise potatoes, scalloped cream style corn and seasoned mustard greens. Dinner: beef barley soup, marinated London steak with natural sauce, steamed rice or mashed potatoes, creole lima beans and normandie carrots. Tomorrow—brunch at 10 a.m.: cream pea soup, chopped barbecue pork on toasted bun and French fried potatoes. Dinner: com chowder, southern fried chicken, brown chicken gravy, mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, creole wax beans and buttered spinach. Sunday—brunch at 10 a.m.: chicken mushroom soup, grilled hamburgers or cheeseburgers and crisp potato chips. "Family Night" dinner: onion soup, roast beef au jus, natural gravy, baked potatoes with sour cream, buttered sum- mer squash and seasoned garden peas. Monday—Lunch: cream of pea soup, baked Virginia ham, pineapple sauce, glazed yams or grilled potato cakes sauteed com and buttered brussels sprouts. Dinner: logging soup, grilled ham- burgers and cheeseburgers, steamed frankfurters, French fried potatoes, Spanish style lima beans and sliced to- matoes, onions and lettuce. Tuesday—Lunch: chicken soup, beef pot pie, braised liver with onions, cot- tage fried potatoes, French fried cauli- flower, seasoned green beans and hot biscuits. Dinner: cream of mushroom soup, Italian style veal steaks, natural sauce, franconia potatoes, buttered gar- den peas and spiced beets. Wednesday—Navy Day: vegetable su- preme soup, baked chicken, brown chick- en gravy, bread dressing, orange rice, buttered broccoli spears and normandie carrots. Dinner: beef noodle soup, steamship round of beef, natural gravy, snowflake potatoes, buttered mixed vegetables and hot spiced beets and hot dinner rolls. 'Thursday—Lunch: clam chowder, fried or baked Icelandic fish or stuffed bell peppers, baked macaroni and cheese, but- tered asparagus spears and buttered com on the cob. Dinner: creole soup, chopped beef steaks chicken fried, beef croquettes, b.rown gravy, snowflake potatoes, butter- ed succotash and seasoned F.F. greens. Friday—Lunch: vegetable beef soup, open face beef sandwiches, rich brown gravy, mashed potatoes, buttered carrots and stewed tomatoes. Dinner: beans with bacon soup, sim- mered spaghetti with heavy meat sauce, baby beef balls, assorted pizzas, steam- ed frankfurters, potato chips, broccoli polonaise and hot garlic toast. x
