action last week.
Local players, closed the gap to six
points twice, but could not overcome the
height advantage by the visitors.
Foul-shooting was the base team's
downfall, converting 12 for 32 chances
or only 37 per cent.
High for the visitors was George
Bjarni with 18, Jon Sigurdsson and
William Torfi, having 10 each.
For NATO, high scorers were Walt
Medina, 14; Tom Early, 12 and Bill Groom
with 18.
The next game is scheduled for Satur-
day at Njardvik.
A home game against Njardvik will be
played Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.
The three-game series, played in the
Njardvik bowl, will be an annual event.
Player of the Week
*
Mike Ritsin, of the VP-49 "Woodpeck-
ers", was chosen player of the week for
his outstanding performances in all his
team's games.
A hustler on defense, Ritsin leads
VP-49's fast breaks with his dribbling.
Mike, an excellent shooter from 18
feet and closer, also leaps aggressively
as well.

La Monte attacks rally
Supply *A* to 7-6 win
In Sunday's floor hockey, Franco La
Monte's unnerving attacks piloted Supply
"A" team to a 7-6 victory over Supply
"B."
Franco's consistent attacks and 4
goals, assisted by John Enriquez' fancy
footworks and 3 goals, overpowered the
"B" team's rallies in the first and
third periods. Rookie goal tender
Linver Kroll held the "B" team scoreless
in the second period.
For the "B" team, Peter Weber had 4
goals and Dave Woodrow, 2.
Superb defense was the key to the
"A's" victory.
