NAVSTA places 3rd in tourney
by Dave Haviland
Paced by Mark Engwall and John
Jaquay, Naval Station Keflavik placed
third in the Fourth Naval District Area
I bowling tournament last week at NAS
Brunswick, MA.
First place honors went to the Bruns-
wick team.
A strong Portsmouth Naval Shipyard
team finished second in the highly com-
petitive tournament, beating out the
SAFETY
Keflavik Vikings by only 84 pins.
Engwall's 3325 total placed him
seventh Individually.
As an ex-Keflavik kegler, Dennis
Prior just barely finished ahead of
Mark by 13 pins, advancing to New York
towards the All Navy Finals.
Jaquay's 3323 total placed him
eighth.
Paul Eastman, Ernie Cartagena, Bud
Quinn and Dave Haviland rounded out the
lineup for Keflavik.
AIM) leads in volleyball
AIMD is undefeated with High School,
COMFAIRKEF and Rockville having one

the winner's bracket.

Fulghim takes golf title
Bad weather prevailed as Admin, AIMD,
Leftovers and Air Ops scored wins over
High School, IDF, NAVCOMMSTA and Rock-
ville.
The wind and cold raised the scoring
as Dean Fulgium of Admin was medalist
with a score of 89.
Women needed

Any women interested in playing slow
pitch softball contact Teresa Ludt at
7551 or Linda Camburn at 4475. Teams

USO volunteer's identity hidden
In last week's White Falcon a cap-
tion which should have accompanied a
picture on page 4 was omitted because
of a mechanical error.
The caption should have stated
that Staff Sergeant James R. Hudson,
who contributed his time and talent
during the past year, received a
gift, highlighting National Volunteer
Week, from USO Program Director Ann
Williams.
