NEX stomps Coolcats, 10-2
Navy Exchange defeated the Coolcats,
10-2, to help strenghten their second
place standing in the women's softball
league.
Pitcher Brodie held the Coolcats to
five hits to pick up her second victory
of the season.
Meanwhile, the Rockets' Reamin,
undefeated by handing Navy Exchange
their second setback of the season,
tromped them 13 - 2 in four and a half
innings of play.
The Rockets' first baseman Huff
smacked three singles in three trips to
bring her season average to a .750.
Any women interested in playing on
a team should contact Sgt. Ludt at
7551. Newly assigned personnel are
encouraged to support the women's
program.
Track, swim meet slated for July celebration
A track meet will be held during
Fourth of July festivities, July 2 and
July 3.
Action will begin at 10 a.m., July
2 and 1 p.m. July 3.
The swim meet will be held July 2
at 7 p.m.
Entries will be taken anytime by
calling 4558 or persons should be there
in time for the meet.
Team awards as well as first and
second individual awards will be given.
Officials with experience are also
needed.

against 1st Naval Dist.
A slowpitch mens' softball team
will go to Brunswick, MA July 5-9
to play in the first Naval District
Tournament. All ballplayers who
possess the talent desired to try out
