SATURDAY: THE FIRST TEXAS—A San Anton-
io lawyer, formerly governor of Tennes-
see, resolves to stay out of the fight
to free Texas from Mexico. However, on
orders of the President, he rallies the
Texans to defeat Santa Ana and establish

SATURDAY: THE TASTE OF EVIL—After
spending seven years in a mental insti-
tution, a young woman who was a rape
victim, returns to the Victorian man-
sion she will inherit on her 21st birth-

MONDAY: CHAIN LIGHTNING—After dropping
bombs on "Hitler's War," a B-17 pilot
becomes a jet test pilot, sacrificing

TUESDAY: HOLLYWOOD TV THEATRE: "SIX
CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR"—
Six "born characters" appear in a tele-
vision studio during the taping of a
show and refuse to leave until they are
introduced to the director. Their de-
mands are to have an author for their
story and an opportunity to act out
their own personal tragedy. Stars

WEDNESDAY: A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN—
This appealing and touching film is
based on Betty Smith's novel about a
family's struggles during hard times
in a Brooklyn tenement before World War
I. The mother works as an apartment
house janitor to put food on the table,
and the father fights his failures with
drink and dreams. Stars Diane Baker,
Cliff Robertson and James Olsen.
THURSDAY: LAND RAIDERS—A ruthless
town boss in the Arizona Territory buys
Indian scalps, causing the slaughter of
people in a wagon train. The only sur-
vivors are his brother and a young
woman returning from an eastern school.

FRIDAY: FIREBALL "500"—A young Cali-
fornia stock car driver who has aspira-
tions of winning at Daytona, is 'tricked

Italian style veal steaks, natural
