Do you want to get out of the house?
Do you like to work with people in your
community and have fun, too? Then the
NCO Wives Club is for you.
This base organization needs members,
according to a spokesman, to expand the
club. Further, it participates in,year
around activities and it is a good way
to get involved and meet new people.
Being part of a club helps to pass the
time and it's only one evening out of a
month for the business meetings.
The club also holds functions for
members' husbands and children. They
participate in picnics, parties and game
nights.
The club sponsors two adopted children
in the United States and Mexico and pro-
vides a scholarship for an A.T. Mahan
High School student each year. It raises
funds for these projects through working
at the Thrift Shop, PTO Carnival, Christ-
mas Bazaar and bake sales throughout the
year.
The club is open to wives of all en-
listed personnel E-l through E-9 serving
at the NATO Base or tenant activities.
The August meeting will be held Wed-
nesday at the home of Kathy Shawver,
Qtrs. 953-ID at 7:30 p.m. For further
information call Kathy at 7557 or Wilson
at 7108.
