Rockville finished with a, 29-3 rec- ord while AFI and NSGA finished, 25-7, each. AFI defeated NSGA, 14-8, to finish second. Mac McPherson hit three homers to be- come the hero for Rockville while Paul Pezz hit two and PJ Joyce one. NSGA’s John Pozniak hit two, Paul Flory one and Bart Keys also hit one. Despite the final score the game was close as the score was, 12-11, entering the seventh. The 57B was led by the solid pitching and hitting for a high average for the entire team. Their defense was also outstanding and probably the main reason for the championship. NAV FAC lacked the defense with AFI Sec. losing out by rotation at a vital time. VP-24 finished four games in front of 57 "A" as they have the best team on station. They have power, hitting, defense and improved pitching that will probably be favored to win the base championship. 57 "A" has been hit by rotation and they are desperately trying to hold off Air Ops for second place. They have a two-game edge with four to play.
