WE'RE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STORE More and more men are learning what women seemed to have known since the beginning of time—that proper skin care and the right emollients will visibly retard the aging-process look. Growing image-consciousness among men, coupled with the recent proliferation of male - oriented beauty supplies and equipment, is erasing old taboos. The result is an unprecedented demand for male groom- ing merchandize. The Navy Exchange carries an assort- ment of skin cleansers, astringments and moisturizers, and more "he-male" pro- ducts are being added. The nicest part of this story is that men can now look better for less, if they are authorized customers of the NEX. LET'S HEAR IT FOR SWEATERS We're talking about the new assort- ment of quality sweaters, for tne entire family, now on display in the Navy Ex- change. A variety or styles, textures and yarn blends in modern color combina- tions and shades are available. Let's face it. The sweater is the ideal garment for keeping warm in ener- gy-conscious homes and offices when the weather gets chilly. And virtually no one expects this coming winter to be anything less. Inspect our selection today. Arentzen has instructed Navy medical department personnel to "set the example” in the fight against tobacco use in the Navy, especially in medical facilities. Describing smoking as a principal form of self-destructive behavior, the Navy Surgeon General cited a World Health Organization suggestion that the control of cigaret smoking alone could do more to improve health and prolong life in developed countries than any other single action in the field of preventive medicine. "As health care professionals," Vadm. VAdm. Arentzen said in the letter, "We must behave in a manner consistent with the knowledge that smoking is a health hazard." Medical department members should lead the way, VAdm. Arentzen said. Air Force Men’s flight caps approved for women Women pilots and navigators recently received approval to wear the men's blue flight cap when wearing flight suits. Air Force officials said that women's authorized headgear did not meet the needs of the women during their training. Flight cap testing was conducted at Williams AFB, AZ., , during flight training by the first women pilots. Results of these tests confirmed that a special flight cap for women is not necessary and that the flight cap worn by men is adequate, officials said.
