Det. 14 holds swimming title
slips past High school
The swimming meet on Feb. 4 almost
proved disastrous for Det. 14, as they
eased by the high school 54 points to
46 points. Sergeant Price of Det. 14
led the swim team, capturing three
first place events in the 100 meter free-
style, 100 meter backstroke and the 50
meter breast stroke with Steve Crawford
also of Det. 14 winning two first place
events in the 50 and 100 meter butter-
fly. Bill Hershfield was the top
swimmer for the High School, winning
first places in the 50 meter backstroke
and the 100 meter individual medley.
Racquetball tourney
to start soon
The Athletic Department announces
that they will be conducting the first
annual Hubert Humphery Racquetball
Tournament beginning on March 15. The
tournament will be divided into two
categories - men's and women's open.

Clinic Feb. 28
Volleyball underway
A preseason volleyball tournament
for all teams wishing to enter a team in
the 1978 season will be held Mar. 1-3.
A pre-league clinic will be held for
all teams on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the
A. E. House gymnasium.
