Keflavik notes:
E&M flight signup SC hedule
Ever miss going on that special E&M
flight because you missed signing up on
the right day? Each week the White
Falcon will be publishing a list of the
flights which are available for sign-up
the following week.
On Monday and Tuesday of next’ week
(May 8 & 9) sign-up will be conducted
for the flight leaving Keflavik on June
2, for Erding, Germany. The flight will
return to Keflavik on June 5.
On Thursday and Friday(May 11 & 12)
you can sign-up for the flight stopping
in Northolt* England; Brussels, Belgium
and Mildenha^ilj’England. This flight
will depart Keflavik on June 9 and re-
turn on June 13.

Drug expert to lecture here
Mr. Carl Espinoza, noted lecturer on
drug abuse, will be on station next week
giving drug presentations. Mr. Espinoza
has been lecturing for the Air Force for
a number of years. All Navy and Air
Force personnel, their dependents and
civilians are invited to hear one of the
dynamic presentations on a subject every-
one should be concerned about. Any
questions can be directed to Social Act-
ions/7327 or Capt Masters/4286.
Need support
Scouts plan May 13 walk-a-thon
A Scout walk-a-thon is scheduled for
Saturday, May 13. The Girl Scouts, Boy
Scouts and Explorer Scouts will be par-
ticipating in this joint activity. The
ages of the scouts is 11 through 18.
The walk-a-thon is being held to
raise money for summer scouting activ-
ities .
The Scouts will walk from Hvalfjorour
to the NATO base, a distance of 35 kilo-
meters. They will leave the base at
8 a.m. on Saturday and will begin
walking from Hvalfjorour later that
morning, planning to arrive at the base
at 5 p.m.
The Scouts will be asking for spon-
sors at a minimum of ten cents per
kilometer. The scouts ask that we all
pitch-in an support this worthy event.
In case of rain the walk-a-thon will
be rescheduled for Sunday, May 14.

items are on order, so we have to make
room. We need your help, so we have

Insignias No Longer Available at the
Tailor Shop
The Navy Exchange Tailor Shop will no
longer carry the insignias for mil-

itary uniforms. You must purchase them
at the Uniform Shop and then take them
over to the Tailor Shop if you desire
them to be sewn on.

Ham radio now legal on base
If you're a ham radio buff, there is
some good news for you. A reciprocal
agreement has been reached between the
U.S. Forces in Iceland and the Icelandic
authorities allowing amature radio oper-

does not in any way permit the use of
citizens band (CB) radio.

Nursery summer school registration
The Nursery will hold registration
for summer nursery school on a first-
come, first-served, basis on Monday at
9 a.m.
Children born between Jan. 1, 1974
and Dec. 31, 1975 are eligible to attend
the school which wil], be conducted
during June and July.

Summer youth camp dates set
SUMMER YOUTH CAMP
Registrations are now being accepted
for the Youth Center summer camp pro-
gram at the Hvitarbakki Lodge. Camp
sessions are as follows:
June 18 - 22 ages 13 - 18
July 9-13 ages 8-12
July 30 - Aug. 3 ages 8-12
Aug. 13 - 17 ages 13 - 18
Each four-day session will cost $20
per child. This fee is not due until
the week before the camp session. Re-
gistration forms are available at the
Youth Center for all sessions. For
more information call 7822.
INSIGNIA CONTEST
A reminder! The Youth Center insig-
nia contest is still in progress. Sub-
mit all entries no later than June 1st.
One winner will be chosen from each age
category and will be awarded a free
trip to camp. For more information
stop by the Youth Center or call 7822.
Guitar lessons available at USO
GUITAR LESSONS
At last!!! USO has found a
teacher for guitar lessons. We will be
holding private one-half hour lessons on
Monday evenings from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
All you need to do is sign up, bring
your guitar and lots of motivation to be
a good guitar player! Beginners and
intermediate alike are welcome to take
this eight week course beginning May 8.
POOL TOURNEY
Tomorrow, USO will be hosting its
very first Pool Tournament. Be sure to
stop by if you enjoy playing pool at 2
SHRIMP NIGHT
USO will be sponsering a special
"Deep Fried Shrimp Night" on Monday.
The meal will include a free salad bar
and mashed potaotes. After the meal you
can enjoy a game of "Facts" with the
USO ladies.
