After the successful heist, the Dion brothers, who never knew the Japanese had lost the war, certainly had no way of figuring they were being left out of the split. Stars Stacy Reach, TODAY 12:35 a.m.—FOUR FEATHERS— This rousing desert adventure, set in the late 19th century, is the story of a young British officer named Harry Faversham. Faversham resigns his com- mission before his regiment goes into combat, and is branded a coward-by his peers. To redeem himself, he assumes the identity of an Arab slave and spies for the four who accused him of coward- ice. Stars Beau Bridges, Robert Powell, Richard Jotmson and Jane Seymour. SATURDAY 11:05 p.m.—BIRDS OF PREY—A former World War II fighter pilot on a traffic watch by helicopter sees a bank robbery in progress. He follows the getaway car and reports the incident to the police. However, when the fleeting robbers and their 'female hostage board a waiting chopper, the bandits try to ram the pilot's aircraft. Stars David Hanssen, Ralph Meeker and Elayne Heil- veil. SATURDAY 12:25 p.m.—THE OBLONG BOX— A tale from the dripping pen of Edgar Allen Poe. The story is set in Africa, where an English lord has become too overbearing for his native workers. Their vengeance follows him to his rural British township in the form of voodoo, withcraft, insanity and numerous violent murders. Stars Vincent Price and Chris- topher Lee. (adult) TUESDAY 11:10 p.m. —I HEARD THE OWL CALL MY NAME—A young Anglican priest unaware he is suffering from an incurv- .able desease, is sent to a remote Cana- dian Indian village by his bishop. There he learns to appreciate the cus- toms of the Indians while trying to teach them to reach out to the outside world. Stars Tom Courtenay, Dean Jag- ger, Paul Stanley and Marianna Jones. WEDNESDAY' 11:10 p ,m.—VISIONS: A SECRET SPACE—A twelve-year old science student becomes interested in Orthodox Judaism and begins studying the real meaning of the Sabbath, the prayers and songs of the Old Testament, and learns of the Hitler concentration camps. The youth's intense interest becomes very upsetting to his agnostic parents. Stars' Phyllis Newman, Jon Mathews and Virginia Graham. THURSDAY 11:30 p.m.—NICKEY'S WORLD—A heartwarming drama of a crisis faced by a closely knit family of Greek ancestry. Their New York bakery is severely damag- ed by fire, and an old insurance policy provides little or no protection. It is the love of the members of the family, for each other coupled with strength, determination and belief that sets their course on fetter times. Stars Charles Cioffi, Mike Shera, George ’froskovec and James Broderick. FRIDAY 11:05 p.m.—DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK—A chilling, frightening sus- pense film about a young couple who in- herit an old mansion inhabited by small, horrible demon-like creatures who con- spire to make the wife one of them. Stars Kim Darby, Jim Hutton, Barbara Anderson and Milliam Demarest. (adult) FRIDAY 12:20 a.m.—THE BABY—An at- tractive social worker attempts to free a retarded man-child from the strange- hold of the twisted love-hate feelings of his mother and sisters. She later becomes a brutal murderess to keep "baby" for herself. Stars Anjanette Comer, Ruth Roman and Mariana Hill, (adult) Channel 4 highlights TODAY 7:00 p.m.—SPACE 1999—Alpha's uncontrolled flight comes to a sudden halt and its power plummets when it approaches an unidentified planet. TODAY 9:05—ROCKFORD FILES—After fulfilling a commission to purchase a valuable sculptered bird at an auc- tion, Rockford is attacked by assailants who break it and then flee. SATURDAY 8:05 p.m.—GOLDEN DAYS OF RADIO—It's the 1930's and viewers are entertained by Milton Berle, Bret Morri- son (The Shadow); Don McNeil and his fa- mous "Breakfast Club"; the quips of Bob Hope, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy; the songs of Johny Mathis, Abbot and Costello's famous baseball routine. Frank Bresee hosts and Bill Baldwin is program announcer, (preempts Eight is Enough) SATURDAY 10:15 p.m.—KOJAK—A prize- fighter becomes a desperate fugitive when he discovers his unfaithful wife has been murdered. Kojak goes on a frantic hunt for the woman's murderer, who is seeking refuge in a church, hold- ing a priest hostage. SUNDAY 7:35 p.m.--FAMILY HOLVAK—A group of hooded night riders who call themselves "The Knights of the Silver Cross", under the guise of "trying to help and do good", terrorise the Holvaks and their neighbors. SUNDAY 10:15 p.m.--MARCUS WELBY—After suffering a heart attack during a family dispute, a former roommate pays Dr. Kiley a proffesional visit. According to the doctor, the "womanizer"- hasn't changed his priorities-Dr. Killey's pre- scription is to get his patient to take a new look at his goals in life. MONDAY 10:40 p.m.—BARNABY JONES—The unidentified accomplice of a thief awai- ting trial puts out a contract on the only witness who can testify against his buddy. TUESDAY 7:00 p.m.—LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE—Walnut Grove is put under strict quarantine when a deadly fever strikes a neighboring town. However, Mr. Edwards inadvertently brings the disease home after visiting the striken community. TUESDAY 9:05 p.m.--MOVIN' ON— Sonny auditions for the Truckers' Convention show and finds himself an overnight sen- sation. A sharp recording agent signs him, and in spite of Will's disapproval, Sonny dreams of stardom. WEDNESDAY 7:00 p.m.—SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN—While investigating a pos- sible case of sabotage that could af- fect the life support system for a Mars landing, Steve helps a miserable in- dustrialist and a young family discover the true meaning of Christmas. WEDNESDAY 9:05 p.m.—STARSKY & HUTCH— Dave Starsky and Ken Hutchinson are two young, dedicated police detectives. The two are very close friends, and they often use humor as a safety valve. In this premiere performance of the new season, Starsky and Hutch infiltrate a gambling establishment fronting a health club to nab the individual who beat up their friend, and is now hospitalized. THURSDAY 7:50 p.m.—STAR TREK—Trying to save a planet from destruction by an asteroid, Captain Kirk, separated from his companions, is knocked out by a strange force. He suffers amnesia and marries a beautiful member of a pri- mitive tribe, who dwells on the threat- ened planet. THURSDAY 10:15 p.m.—SHAFT—The charge is murder and the accused is Shaft! The detective is working undercover in New York's redlight district in an attempt to clear himself of a procurer's murder. FRIDAY 7:00 p.m.—SPACE' 1999—Two war- ring planets, positioned so they can shoot at each other directly, seize Alpha as a gun platform when it wanders into their range. FRIDAY 9:05 p.m.—ROCKFORD FILES—After fulfilling a commission to purchase a valuable sculptured bird at an auction, Rockford is attacked by mysterious as- sailants who break the work of art into pieces and flee without explanation.
