"WHERE IS THE BALL?" seems to be the question during this baseball play,

Clean sneaker
ruling
enforced
According to gym officials, persons
who use the gym courts are wearing their
gym shoes outdoors and then play in the
same shoes. When walking outdoors these
shoes pick up pumas in the soft or
ribbed soles. As the athlete plays, the
soil acts as an abrasive, wearing away
the court varnish.
Patrons who violate the gym shoes
policy will be removed or suspended from
the gym facilities.
Athletic facility
reservations required
Effective Monday, an athletic facil-
ity reservation policy will take place.
Programs or events not directly spon-
sored by the Recreation Department or
Athletic Division will require using a
reservation form.
For instance, groups or persons wish-
ing to conduct an event or program in-
volving an athletic facility, must com-
plete a reservation form 24 hours in ad-
vance.
Using this reservation policy will
prevent patrons from having to double up
or run into ongoing events.
Note: Free times, those periods of
the day in which no reservations can be
made, will be continued.
