ComSta defeats NSGA
Playing three brilliant softball
games, the ComSta team, led by pitcher
D.M. Gardner, defeated NSGA to capture
the 1978 Naval Station intermediate
pitch softball championship.
Both NSGA and ComSta advanced through
the double elimination tournament un-

During their first encounter, ComSta
defeated NSGA 3-2. In their second
game, NSGA won 2-1. The third round
also produced excellent playing and
sportsmanship; and, when the dust had
cleared, ComSta had defeated NSGA 2-1.
