MG Moore toured MAC units in Iceland last week, (photo by PHAN Ed Coe) 57th FIS to compete in Phantom category Fifty-nine 57th Fighter Inter- ceptor Squadron personnel are scheduled to participate in the William Tell competition at Tyndall AFB, FL, Sept. 15 through Oct. 6. The weapons meet, sponsored every two years by the Aerospace Defense Command (ADCOM), gives air defense units an opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in air defense operations. Twelve teams from the Canadian Forces, ADCOM, Tactical Air Com- mand, United States Air Forces in Europe, Pacific Air Forces and the Air National Guard will com- pete. The 57th FIS will compete in the F-4 "Phantom" category. Other units in this class are: 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW), Eglin AFB, FL; 86th TFW, Ramstein Air Base, Germany; 3rd TFW, Clark Air Base, Philippines and the 119th Fighter Interceptor Group, Fargo Air National Guard Base, Fargo, ND.
