Open house is scheduled at the Youth Center Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The program will include a pre- sentation of after-school activi- ties as well as ballet, baton, belly dancing, babysitting, acting/ drama and music/choral class orien- tation. Local births Jeffery Allen Sanborn was born Aug. 21 at 5:39 a.m. Son of 0T1 Vaughn K. Sanborn and Theresa J. Sanborn. 0T1 Sanborn works with U.S. Naval Facility. Bradley David Blanchard was born Aug. 24 at 10:38 p.m. Son of SHC David Blanchard and Ronna L. Blanchard. SHC Blanchard works at the Navy Exchange. In addition, Youth Center tours will be conducted and some class exhibitions are slated for the evening. Youth Center policies will be explained and the staff will be in- troduced . Sundowners hold classes Starting tomorrow, the Midnight Sundowners Square Dance Club will be hosting classes at the Lower School at 6:30 p.m. Students will learn the basics of square dancing, and then advance to about 100 different steps in square dancing in approximately an 18-week period of instruction. Dick Bull, a veteran square dancer, will serve as the instruc- tor as well as class caller. To sign up, prospective students may call him at 7179. Windbreaker to elect officers The Windbreaker semi-annual gen- eral membership luncheon meeting will be held at noon Wednesday at the Windbreaker Club. Election of officers will be held at this meet- ing and all candidates should con- tact the nomination committee-Chief Davis at 7409 or MSgt Hesselrode at' 6233. certificates Eighty-eight people on the Naval Station have not picked up their certificates which name them as members of the "Royal Order of the Viking Sailor". The certificates are blue and black, printed on white parchment, bearing a gold seal. Suitable for framing, the certi- ficates were issued to personnel who ventured into the North Atlan- tic on the USS Keflavik (the Naval Station landing craft). The hand-lettered certificates are available at the Naval Station Security Office. Puppet show held The Station Library story hour climaxed last week with a puppet show. Stories such as the "Three Bears" and "The Gunniwolf" were told to more than 50 children at each session. Val Kelly fashioned the story- time puppets. The library is open daily from 12:30 to 9 p.m. in the US0, build- ing 758 .
