High school presents pageant
A Christmas concert will be
presented by the high school/com-
munity band Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
in the A.T. Mahan multi-purpose
room.
Highlighting the concert will
be "Twelve Days of Christmas,"
"Seasons Greetings," "March of
the Kings," "Ukranian Bell Carol"
and "Sleighride Express."
Admission will be 50c for
adults; 25q for children under
10-years old and free admission
to children under 5-years old.
Proceeds will go to help finance
the annual band tour.
Exchange notes
Layaway payments, pickup due
All patrons are reminded that
the Christmas Toy Layaway final
payments and merchandise pick up are
due today.
The Navy Exchange will feature
a Children's Night from 6 to 8 p.m.
today. Shopping will be for child-
ren from ages 7 to 16 years. Store
management requests that children
under 7 be accompanied by at least
one parent. Coffee and doughnuts
will be available to Moms and Dads
while the youngsters shop.
The NavyfExchange Car Wash is
again operational in Bldg. T-508.
Winter hours of operation are Fri-
day from noon to 4 p.m. and Satur-
day and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. Tickets can be purchased at
the Navy Exchange Service Station.
Beginning Dec. 18, reservations
for March, 1979 can be made for the
Navy Lodge by calling 2210/7594.

Chantel Denise Felix was born

Grade school concert planned
The A. T. Mahan Elementary School
will present a Christmas program of
traditional musical selections.
The program will be presented in the
elementary school multi-purpose room
and will be spread over three sched-
uled presentations:

grades 4-6
Dec. 21, 1:30 p.m. For grades 1-3
Dec. 21, 7 p.m. Grades 4-6 and
El. Choir
Navy Achievement Medal awarded
The Navy Achievement medal was
awarded to Radioman Chief Wendell
L. Beck of the Naval Facility
Keflavik. Chief Beck is the lead-
ing chief petty officer of the
Communications Division. He was
awarded the medal for his out-
standing performance while serving
on the USS Orion.
Chief Beck served on the USS
Orion, a submarine tender, from
August 1975 to July 1978. He was
advanced to his present grade of
chief petty officer while serving
on the USS Orion.
RMC Beck is originally from
Portland, Oregon and has been in
the Navy for 1} years. He and his
wife, Cheyenne, have two sons. Lanp
and Trent.

dance with NAVESOS P-35 for
distribution to U.S. military
personnel, their dependents and
civilian employees of the Ice-
land Defense Force.
It is printed at the Naval
Station Print Shop with appro-
priated funds.
