(Photo by JOSN David Guise) 932 ACWS honors 5 at Rockville Five personnel received awards at the 932 AC&WS Commander's Call in early December. Squadron Commander, Lt.Col. L. Keith DeMott presented the awards during the ceremony held at Rockville. MSgt. Frank Callahan was awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal for his outstanding perfor- mance and dedication as crew super- visor and senior director technician at the 20th NORAD Region, Ft Lee Air Force Station, Virginia. MSgt. Cal- lahan served at the 20th from July 1977 to August 1979. SSgt. Wade Compton was also a- warded the Meritorious Service Medal. His outstanding contri- butions as NC01C of training at the 82 TACF, Holloman AFB, New Mexico earned him this prestigious award. He was stationed at Holloman from September 1977 to August 1979. TSgt. Ron Jennings received the Air Force Commendation Medal for his performance and contribution as Assistant NCOIC at Bibbsboro Air Force Station, New Jersey. TSgt. Jennings was stationed at the radar station from January 1972 to August 1979. SSgt. Steve Hendrickson was pre- sented the Air Force Commendation Medal for his achievements at the 25 ADS, McCord Air Force Base, Washing- ton. SSgt. Hendrickson worked in the identification section at the 25th from November 1976 to September 1979. SrA. Mary McHugh was presented the Commendation Medal for her con- tributions to the Air Force mission at Cheyenne Mt, Colorado. SrA. Mc- Hugh worked as a missile warning technician at Cheyenne Mt. from December 1977 to August 1979. AWACSS promotes 4 Four 960th AWACSS personnel were promoted this week. Advanced to their present ranks were TSgt. Larry A. Gill, NCOIC of Operations Dispatch; TSgt. Edwin F. Jones, NCOIC of Material Control; SrA. Calvin W. Arwood and SrA. Ste- ven B. Weber, ACFT Generation Branch (AGB) ._________________ School resumes __________Monday Swing Low High Catholic University, a musical variety show titled Swing Low Swing High, with today's sounds will per- form on the Naval Station Wednesday through Jan. 12. Skits in their show will present highlights of a newspaper from the front page to the advertisement page. Their schedule on the Naval Base is as follows: Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Andrews Theater and 9:30 at the Windbreaker Club. Fri- day at 2 p.m. at the Rockville Site Club and a 9:00 performance at the Officer's Club. NCS honors 13 personnel Thirteen Naval Communication personnel were the center of atten- tion on Dec. 17, for personal a- wards, advancements and promotions. Four were honored for their nom- inations as NCS Sailor/Petty Officer of the Quarter, three were advanced, three received letters of Appreci- ation, one was promoted and two named as NCS Sailor and Petty Of- ficer of the Quarter. Honored for their nominations as NCS Sailor/Petty Officer of the Quarter were RM2 Jimmy Eaton, RM3 Mark Orahood, ETSN Jerry Liana and RM3 John Wright. YNC Mack McKinney, RMC Robert Reel and ET2 Gary Smith were advanced and RM1 Gary Tucker, RMC Dean Granger and RM1 Ronals Mi- nion received letters of appreci- ation. EM2 John Johnson received recog- nition as NCS Petty Officer of the Quarter and SKSN Harry Duke as NCS Sailor of the Quarter. In addition Duke was ^elected as CN1 Sailor of the Quarter. Lt. j.g. George Randolph, elec- tronic material officer for NCS, was promoted to temporary CW04. Stork arrivals Erika Marie Burkhard was born Nov. 29 at 8:56 a.m. She is the daughter of YN1 Russell H. and Mary E. Burkhard, II. He works for Com- FairKef. Justin Christopher Thompson was born Dec. 8 at 6:34 a.m. He is the son of SSgt. Jerry D. and Phyllis D. Thompson. SSgt. Thompson works for the 57th FIS. Stephanie Ann Bowman was born Dec. 12 at 6:22 a.m. She is the daughter of SrA. Robert A. and Debra S. Bowman. Bowman is assigned to the 932nd ACWS. Nicole Irene Lightwine was born Dec. 16 at 12:21 a.m. She is the daughter of AE2 Vernon L. and Kathryn M. Lightwine. Petty Officer Lightwine is assigned to OMD of Air Operations. Jason Alan Busby was born Dec. 17 at 5:19 p.m. He is the son of AMH1 Virgil and Krista J. Busby. P01 Busby works at AIMD Airframes. Joshua Todd Bishop was born Dec. 17 at 4:14 p.m. He is the son of SK2 Robert D. and Rhonda R. Bishop. Petty Officer Bishop is assigned to IDF. Jeffrey Rose was born on Dec. 17 at 10:48 p.m. He is the son of YN2 Joseph L. and Giovanna Rose. YN2 Rose works for IDF.
