the women's racquetball league. Any-
one interested in participating in
the league should contact the base
gym at 4588.
What’s happening at the USO?
All pinochle players are invited
to participate in the Pinochle Tour-
nament March 15, which starts at 2
p.m.
On the cultural side at the USO,
there will be the Great Keflavik
Peanut and Goober Art Exhibition on
display there starting March 21.
Free peanuts are still available for
use in creating a work of Peanut
Art.
To celebrate the first day of
pring and Snow Man Burning Day,
rch 21, there will be a drawing
r two Icelandic Sheepskin car seat
'covers, with tickets available for
the drawing at the USO.

Adult swimming lessons for begin-
ners and intermediate level students
will be available soon. Call the
base gym for information - 4588.
There will be an awards ceremony
tomorrow to present trophies to the
winning teams from this year's In-
tramural Basketball League. The
trophies for the Base Championship
Tournament will also be awarded.
The ceremony will be held at the
base gym at 2 p.m.
There will be a meeting March 19,
at the Arctic Lanes to form a summer
men's bowling league. The leagur
will bowl Wednesdays at 9 p.m. For
more information contact Doug Drewry
at 5172 after 5 p.m.
Long term lockers are available
for rent now at the base gym. If
your name is on a waiting list
please call the base gym before
March 22 or your name will be placed
on the bottom of the list. For in-
formation call 4588.
Rung Fu classes are offered
through the gym. Sign up at the
base gym by paying the monthly fee
of $15. Classes are held on Mondays
from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays from 6
to 8 p.m. in the multi-purpose room
of the lower school and on Saturdays
from 10 until noon at the lower
school gym.
Racquetball Ladder - Anyone who
has not challenged between last Sat-
urday and March 15 will be dropped
from the ladder.

Aircraft is highlighted
The Boeing B-29 Super Fortress
was constructed for the primary
purpose of bombing the Japanese Em-
pire during World War II. The re-
sulting aircraft became responsible
for the end of the war with Japan.
On August 6, 1945 the B-29
^'Enola Gpy" dropped the first atomic
eapon ever used in combat on the
ity of Hiroshima. Three days later
the B-29 "Bockscar" dropped the
second atomic weapon, heralding the
end of World War II.
