of The Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign, How do you give to the Fund?
You can give three ways. Giving to the Fund's Air Force Aid Society means
loans or grants for other Blue Suiters to meet urgent family emergencies.
Giving to the Fund's Air Force Enlisted Widows Home and the Fund's Air
Force Village means affordable quarters for qualified surviving spouses,
dependents and retirees. When giving, pick one or more of the Fund affil-
iates from the three listed above. Gifts accepted in cash, checks or al-
lotments.

Father Baily leads
service Thursday
Father Baily from RAF Lossie-
mouth, Scotland will be on the
NATO base March 27-29. He will
conduct an Episcopal Church Ser-
vice in the base chapel at 6:30
p.m. on Thursday. All interested
personnel are invited to attend.
Advisory board meeting
There will be a joint Navy Ex-
change/Commissary Advisory Board
meeting on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
in the Naval Station Conference

The Tactical Air Command (TAC)

The winners of the 1979 Thomas
Jefferson awards contest for armed
forces newspapers, radio and tele-
vision stations were announced re-
cently by the Department of Defense.
The following winners in the tel-
evision technical production, light-
ing, set design, editing, and tech-
nical effects category were:
First Place---was "Col. Espinoza"
program by Master Sgt. Dennis Mc-
Kell, USAF, U.S. Air Forces in
Europe, 7122D Broadcasting Squadron,
Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany.
Second Place----was "The Nightly
News" program by Journalist Second
Class John Checkley, USN, Navy
Broadcasting Service, Detachment
Eight, Keflavdk, Iceland.
The annual contesc is conducted
by the Defense Information School,
Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, for
the Assistant Secretary of Defense
for Public Affairs, and it is spon-
sored to stimulate and reward excel-
lence and professionalism in mili-
tary print and broadcast Journalism.
A Thomas Jefferson bust statuette
and plaque are presented to the
first and second place winners who
contributed the most toward the win-
ning entry either as producer, writ-
er, or director in the broadcast
catagories. A statuette is present-
ed also to the parent organization
of the first place winner.
Because Navy Broadcasting Ser-
vice, Detachment Eight, Keflavik,
Iceland, came in first place in
broadcast media category of the 1979
Chief of Information Merit Award
contest, they automatically became
one of the Navy nominees to the Tho-
mas Jefferson Awards contest. ____
