sonnel interested in pursuing a
full-time course of instruction
leading to a Baccalaureate Degree
and earning a commission in the Reg-
ular Navy are invited to submit app-
lications to the Chief of Naval Ed-
ucation and Training before May 15,
1980. Highly motivated applicants
will be screened for selection to
enter a Naval Reserve Officer grain-
ing Corps (NROTC) host institution
on a full-time basis under the Navy
Enlisted Commissioning Program (ECP)
and earn a commission through Offic-
er Candidate School (OCS). The ECP
selection board will meet in May
1980 to consider applicants meeting
the following general requirements:
(1) Be on active duty USN/USNR/TAR.
(2) Be at least 22 but not older
than 31 years of age. (3) Have
completed between 4 and 11 years of
continuous active duty service. (4)
Be shore duty eligible. (5) Have
sufficient college credit to com-
plet the program in 24 months.

Microwave recall
The Bureau of Radiological
Health of the Food and Drug Admin-
istration has issued a recall of
some Whirlpool Corporation micro-
wave ovens.
Defective wiring causes the ov-
en to operate when the timer is
off. Some may also operate when
the door is open. The oven may
have to be unplugged to turn the
unit off.
The following ovens are being
recalled:
(a) Model REM 7200-2, Serial It M93
6-11950.
(b) Model RFM 7300-1; Serial It M92
1-M950.
(c) Model RFM 7300-2, Serial It M93
6-M950.
(d) Model RHM 2820p, All Serial It
through M950.
All ovens in the recall group
should be removed from service.
Whirlpool Corporation should then
be contacted and asked to provide
the name of the company to call to
have the oven checked.
