Dutton wins
USO’s
occasional
table
tennis
tournament
CUB SCOUT Todd Roots was one of
the participants in the annual Cub
Olympics recently held by Cub
Scout Pack 364.
The USO held its regularly sched-
uled occasional table tennis tourna-
ment last Saturday, with seven
fairly evenly matched contenders
attempting to ping pong their way
toward the first place prize. Ex-
hibiting his usual skill, Jim Dut-
ton again walked off with the
honors.
The singles-only tourney attrac-
ted some newly arrived talent who
showed great offensive and defen-
sive abilities, with the promise of
more hotly contended tournaments to
come. Second place was won by Allen
Provart, who gave Dutton quite a
run, followed by Bill Shum in third
place. The other contestants were
Eugene Brooks, S. Cuevae, Fred
Velie and Chuck Biggs.
Registration will open soon for
next month's occasional table tennis
tournament for both doubles and sin-
gles. All challengers are urged to
register at the USO.
