Children and 'Ice & Fire' Performances Scheduled
Nursery Open House-Aug.17
The Rase Nursery will have its Fall Season Open House Sunday August
17th featuring performances by "Bigside" (1 p.m.) and "Toddlerside" (1:30
p.m.) as well as an Ice and Fire Theatre Group presentation of "Melanie
and Francis" at 2 p.m.
Nursery school registration will begin at 3 p.m. The Nursery School
program for three-year-olds will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the
four-year-old program will be on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Classes
will he scheduled for 9-11 a.m., 12-2 p.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.n. Class sizes
are limited. Fees will be collected at time of enrollment and proof of
age must also be presented. For more information phone the Nursery x7603.
The Nursery is operated for the convenience of all military and civ-
ilian families stationed at Keflavik. The purpose is to provide care for
dependent children six-months through seven-vears-of-age during business
hours and social events. Thus, the hours the Nursery is
________________________ open are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Monday through Friday, Friday and
Saturday evenings from 6 p.m. to
midnight, Saturday afternoons from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from
10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
SGT. DENNY H. EPLIN—the Legal Clerk
at the Marine Barracks was awarded
the Navy Achievement Medal Friday
for "outstanding performance while
assigned to the Marine Aviation Sup-
port Squadron 9001 at Naval Air
Training Technical Training Center,
Memphis, Tenn. from September 1979
to February 1980." Sgt. Enlin, who
was chosen the Iceland Defense Force
Marine NC0 of the Quarter, was pre-
sented the award by Major Robert F.
Itnyre, Commanding Officer of the

Advance registrations for the
Nursery are encouraged due to limit-
ed space, however, walk-ins will be
accepted as space permits. The re-
servation is held one hour past time
before releasing the space to anoth-
er. Fees are charged and if desired
a monthly hill will be maintained by
Nursery office staff if charges ex-
ceed $25.
All children eat either their own
lunch or the Nursery provides lunc'.i.
If the child's parents are detained
the Nursery lunch will he provided.
Fees are charged for lunches and
snacks.
Of course ill children will not
be accepted at the Nursery. Child-
ren crying consistently for long
periods will also be considered ill.
If a child becomes ill or injured at
the Nursery the parent will be noti-
fied immediately and the child must
be picked up. No medication is giv-
en to children by Nursery staff. Un-
ruly or unmanageable children may
also he refused admission to the
Nursery. Ko gum, candy or soda pop
is permitted in the Nursery.
Nursery school fall session be-
gins Sept. 2. Children previously
enrolled may register August 11-15.
All other registrations will be
at the 3 p.m. enrollment during the
