The 1980 Keflavik Youth Baseball

Top of the Rock.
During the ceremony, the major
league Keflavik Giants were honored
as having the best record in the
association, with 15 wins and one
loss that came in the last game of
the season. The Giants lost 5-4 to
the Keflavik Tigers.
Giants manager, Ed Jackson, said
he was fortunate to be part of the
team, and thanked "those responsible
for the success this season."
"I acknowledge the support and
understanding given by the parents,
both on and off the field.
"I would like to thank my coaches
for the energy and patience they af-
forded me during the season.
"But most of all I want to thank
e players for the 100% effort they
ut forth in every game," he said.
