It’s eval time for schools
^ The A.T. Mahan Schools are com-
pleting self-studies in preparation
*or a comprehensive evaluation by a
visiting team from the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools.
The High School was done in 1977
and this is the Elementary school's
first evaluation. The NCA requires
member schools overseas to undertake
a self-study in three-year cycles as
a major impetus for school improve-
ment .
This year's NCA team will be
working in the schools Novem-
ber 3 through November 7. During
the evaluation, every aspect of the
school will be reviewed: student
activities, personnel service,
health services, instructional ma-
terials, staff, physical facilities,
and financial support.
The evaluations will result in
suggestions for modifications and
changes to help the school do an
even better job of educating
students.
Continuing accrediation for the
Mahan schools, by the 19 state North
Central Association, is determined
by the teams' evaluation report.
