‘House of Horrors’ tonight
The NavConnnSta House of Horrors
will be open tonight 6:30 to 9:30
p.m. It is recommended that no one
under the age of 8 attend. Also, 8
to 12 year old children must be
accompanied by an adult.
Trick or treat hours
Trick or treat hours are 6 to 9
p.m. tonight. Parents are strongly
encouraged to accompany children
under 10 years of age. Dress
children in light-colored or reflec-
tive costumes. Everyone should
drive with caution. Traffic
condition will be Alpha Limited.
Excess furniture sale
Wt:
A retail sale of excess household
furniture to Defense Force Members
will be held on Nov. 3, 9 to 10 a.m.
Sales are on a "first come first
rved, as is, where is" basis. No
efunds or exchanges are made. Items
must be paid for in U.S. dollars and
be removed immediately.
Rec Commitee meeting Thursday
The Recreation Department has
announced that the First Quarterly
meeting of the Composite Recreation
Fund Committee will be held Thursday
at 1:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the
Recreation Department Conference
Room in building T-170. All
designated representatives are
requested to attend.

Submit your AF ROTC application
Applications for Air Force ROTC
four-year scholarships starting in
the 1981-82 academic year must be
submitted by Jan. 15, 1981.
Scholarships pay full tuition,
books, most fees and $100 monthly
during the academic year.
High school seniors interested in
the scholarships should contact
their guidance counselors or the
professor of aerospace studies at
colleges or universities with Air
Iprce ROTC. Also, interested
udents can write to the Office of

CAPT May assumes NavCommSta command
Captain Wesley May assumed com-
mand of the U.S. Naval Communication
Station, Iceland, October 24 during
Change-of-Command ceremonies.
He relieved Captain Bennett D.
Katz, who has served as Commanding
Officer since July 1979.
CAPT Katz's next assignment will
be as Assistant Deputy Director for
Operation and Readiness, Defense
Communication Agency, Wash., D.C.
Prior to this assignment in Ice-
land , CAPT May served as Chief, Com-
munications Division on the Combined
Philadelphia Phillies

"There is no CommSta anywhere
that I'd rather command than Nav-
CommSta Iceland," CAPT May said.
"The main reason is that our basic
mission here is so important for the
overall defense of the West and in
that sense this is where the action
is.
"En route to Iceland I was
briefed at COMNAVTELCOM Headquarters
and CAMSLANT. At both places the
CommSta enjoys a solid professional
reputation as an organization that
gets the job done," he remarked.
CAPT May concluded by saying, "I
feel privileged to be able to com-
mand such a fine organization, and
I am confident that with the support
of the officers, crew and their
families we will be able to embel-
lish this reputation even more.
"My wife and I are really looking
forward to becoming acquainted with
Iceland and the Icelanders. Many of
our friends have been stationed here
in the past and all of them enjoyed
their tours," CAPT May concluded.
