VIRK, þar sem fólk er aðstoðað við að
auka starfsgetu sína eftir veikindi eða slys.
Þá er vitað um slæm áhrif atvinnuleysis á
heilsu fólks (t.d. Comino, Harris, Silove,
Manicavasagar og Harris, 2000) og því
forvitnilegt að sjá hvaða áhrif meðferð eins
og ÓHAM hefur á þunglyndi, kvíða og
almenna líðan fólks í starfsendurhæfingu.
VIRK – Starfsendurhæfingarsjóður var
nýverið aðili að umsókn um stóran
Evrópustyrk sem mun, ef hann fæst, gefa
tækifæri til að kanna nánar áhrif ÓHAM
í starfsendurhæfingu á næstu tveimur
árum.
