The remote and desolate highlands of Iceland are home to

eyjar Guesthouse into the first all-season ‘hotel in the highlands,’
supplying guests of all budgets with a wider selection of room op-
tions for a more comfortable and relaxing stay. The guesthouse
even offers rooms with public cooking facilities, a luxury unavailable
elsewhere in the highland region.
Visitors to the hotel can arrive in their compact car, spend the
night, and hire a jeep the next morning to take a thrilling day tour
through the otherworldly mountains of Iceland’s rugged interior.
The Highland Car Rental company is housed within the guesthouse,
providing quality rental services throughout the summer months.
Conveniently located at a crossroads between the vast, tranquil
lakes Veiðivötn and the majestic Landmannalaugar geothermal
area, the Hrauneyjar Guesthouse is not too far from the amazing
Lauga hraun—an ancient lava field created by a massive volcanic
