The President of the United
States has asked for maximum
economy in the operation of Fed-
eral Agencies. Valuable aids in
accomplishing this objective are
through the military and civilian
suggestion programs. While these
programs have already been re-
sponsible for many contributions
and the saving of millions of dol-
lars, their potential has hardly
been tapped. Therefore, in order
to realize maximum benefits from
our suggestion programs, it is
most important that all personnel
participate in the economy drive.
The need for economy is a con-
tinuing need and there is always
room for improvement.
Let’s all military and civilian
personnel get behind the Navy,
Air Force, and the Commanding
Officer of this station, in striving
for economy. This can be done by
each one of you submitting your
ideas for ways to cut cost, in-
crease production, saving man-
power, money, material, time and
space, procedures or improvements
which result in demonstrable sav-
ings and more efficient operations.
Give careful consideration to
your specific task, other jobs or
procedures with which you are
familiar, the material or equip-
ment being used, and the organiza-
tion structure and submit sugges-
tions for economies or improve-
ment in any of these areas.
For further information con-
cerning the economy drive contact
the local administrator of the pro-
gram, Mrs. Audrey Griffith at
Ext. 6205.
