Miss Iceland (Continued from Page 1.) Palsdottir. Gunnhildur will fly to Europe as Iceland’s entry in the “Miss World” contest. Maria and Johanna will be con- testants in the “Miss Scandinavia” beauty contest. The contest was a picture of success and the staffs of the Ser- vice Information Office and AFRTS owe many thanks to the courtesy shown them while cover- ing the pageant. Pretty Gudny Arnadottir, models one of the Carabella fashions in the fashion show held at the Hotel Saga dur- ing the beauty contest. Berti Moller, vocalist at the Miss Iceland contest, enter- tains the crowd with his fine singing. Thelma Ingvarsdottir, (left), “Miss Ice- land,” relaxes with Theodora Thordar- dottir, “Miss Reykjavik.” These two love- lies finished 1-2 in the contest. The seven member judges panel for the contest are captured discussing the merits of the beauty’s. They are from left to right: Eggert Gudmundsson, Karolina Petursdottir, Sigridur Gunnarsdottir, Dr. Jon Eiriksson, Olaf Swanson, Gudmund- ur Karlsson and Sigurdur Magnusson. Sigridur Gunnarsdottir, describes the fashions of the Carabella show, to the huge crowd at the Hotel Saga.
