This Week’s Question: Now that
the Space Age has become a reality,
do you feel that it will effect our
lives greatly in years to come?
L. R. LOCK-
HART, SK2,
IDF Supply,
Portsmouth, Va.
—“The Space
Age is some-
thing that peo-
ple deemed fan-
tastic less than
The invention of the automobile
and the airplane changed the
course of social history. I believe
the Space Age will do the same.”
P. P. HEATH,
Bookeeper, Of-
ficers’ Club,
Baltimore, Md.
—“Our entry
into the space
era will cer-
tainly up tempo
our way of liv-
ing. Someday
instead of sending my kids to the
movies for an afternoon, I may be
able to send them to the moon.”
.......... T. BJORNS-
■ SON, Store
Manager, Navy-
Exchange,
ICeflavik — “I
don’t forsee any
great changes
in the first 10
or 20 years of
the Space Age
but after that who knows? We
may be vacationing on the moon!”
R. F. MON-
TEITH, PFC,
Marine Bar-
racks, Gate
Sentry, Jerome,
Pa. — “The
world is bound
to progress in
its everyday
or without the
goings-on
with
Space Age. Our present achieve-
ments in space have had little or
no effect on our daily life but the
future may hold many surprises.”
B. G. PULVER,
FN, Commissa-
ry Store Ware-
house, Sche-
nectady, N. Y.
— “Presently,
no, In a cent-
ury we might see some radical
changes in our society due to
technical advances that should
coincide with the Space Age.”
