T/5G. T. Buckner will have
to burn a lol of midnight oil to
answer those 34 letters he re-
ceived in one day.
Pvt. Frank Carri thinks the
meanest person in the world i:
the one who “borrowed” hi
Superman comic hook before b<
finished it.
Sgt. George Martin was seer
standing on a coal pile the othei
day with a shovel in his hand.
At first it looked like a statue
but when someone shouted,
“Chow”—we knew it was
George!
Pfc. Paul J. Florentine.
We wish to extend our thanks
to the Camp Show artists for the
hilarious afternoon of enjoyment
given us recently. Everyone here
seems to he having a case of
sneezes. There is one G.I. in par-
ticular who tried too hard to
imitate well-known Billy Gilbert,
hut failed when both uppers and
lowers went A.W.O.L. and, sorry
to say, they didn’t bounce.
T/5 John Rush.
T/4 Howard E. Smith and
Stanley Otteus have been riding
hese past few days. Ottens says
he must have a different type
saddle as the present one leaves
him in a bad disposition.
1/Sgt. Alphonse J. Kale did an
adagio the other eve, and the
results were drastic. Of course,
nothing serious, hut the Sarge
would appreciate some hot and
cold applications on the sore
spot.
Sgt. George L. Dowell.
Those merry tunes in the air
come from the harmonica of Cpl.
Mitchell S. Dejnbrowski. Pvt.
Koehler should go to Pfc. Cho-
roszej for a bit of dope on mat-
ters romantic. Pvt. Randall had
been giving a few pointers in
that subject. The ‘Old Man With
The Scythe’ recently presented
our 1/Sgt., Fred N. Grossman,
with another certificate mark-
ed “one year earned.”
Cpl. Mahlon G. Colbert.
Tch, tch, this gang sure is af-
fected! They hang model air-
planes on ventilator chains, use
flashlights as searchlights, and
shoot at them with spit-balls—
sound affects included.
Pfc. Elmer Flietner is learning
to blow a bugle. But he isn’t
able to find out which calls are
which!
Cpl. Wally Smith.
<•* Jr r- .. .
The pinochle “champs,” T/4
Richie and T/4 Asmianis, have
changed their name to “chumps”
after being defeated by Pfc. Mit-
chell and his partner.
Sgt. Weinstein has become so
close to his new dog, Victory,
that both share the same mess
kit at- chow time.
The fellows are still fighting
it out for {he ping-pong title.
Cpl. Zabek plays all night and
Cpl. May plays all day.
The Claw.
