After 19 months on The
Rock, Tec 5 Rocha has fin-
ally taken a trip to Reykja-
vik. He was surprised ftt
many things that he saw, so
now he keeps humming “I’ll
have to do that more often.”
S/Sgt. Parks rung in an-
other birthday, making it 33.
He will he ringing in his wed-

wife, Sarge. (You better send
her a copy of the Falcon).
Has anyone obliged S/Sgt.
Zelinka with that certain
type sausage he has been
looking for?
The 1+2-3 NCO Club has
been going strong of late, due
to a few changes and im-
provements. Here’s a pat on
the back for Pvt. Loyer
whose suggestions have help-
ed to bring about the chan-
ges.

This column was inform-
ed that a good time and
plenty to eat was had by all
Sunday at a picnic'given for
the EM of the AG Section by
the officers. S/Sgt. Ken Bunn
won a pitching battle over
Lt. Roitman in a close soft-
ball game.
Christened “Porky” by his
buddies, Pfc. Bob Stuart was
trying to memorize some po-
etry the other day. The line
was from a well known clas-
sic “and there on the floor”
— you know the one about
the red-headed gal named
Sue. This can’t exactly be
interpreted to reflect the
most exemplary thoughts for
an MP.
T/Sgt. Bill Davis.
Who’s got the answer to
the $64 question? What’s the
difference between Young’s
Cozy Kitchen and Steve’s
Chop House? Answer in next
week’s issue.
Pop White was caught
buying an Icelandic phrase
book after his week in the
country, and he wasn’t up
there fishing.
Roscoe Pace’s health is
failing since he ate the fish:
head, eyes, tail, fins and guts
after losing a fishing bet.
Gresham is running a-
round pulling his hair out
since someone wrecked his
motorcycle doing guard
duty.
How does Top Kick Pusch
like his vacation up in the
country near Keflavik?
Has anyone in the Co. seen
the disappearing beer that
belongs to Brookfield.
Robert is still unable to
find his entrenching tool.
The hoys wish good luck
to all the new nonconxs, espe-
cially the rockers floating
around these days.

OOT NOTES
V
Cpl. E. Jack Gxay
Several huts in Camp Broadstreet might well remind
any GI of an expectant father’s ward back home. . what,
with the pacing, sweating and anxiety now being in-
dulged in by Cpl. Geoi’ge Kudrick of Manchester, N.H.,
and T/5 Bill Pfender of Chicago, 111....Bill is all pre-
pared, with eight cases of beer and three boxes of cigars
under his bed. . .waiting only for the telegram to set off
the spark. . .Pfc. Morris Rosenheim is doing another kind
of sweating but equally profuse and of about the same
duration. . .He is sitting out a T/5 rating. . .All the boys
are happy in Broadstreet now, enjoying the conveniences
of a new latrine just installed. . .At first they were fear-
ful that the well-known “horse-trough” might not give
way to modern sinks.
Camp Broadstreet is made up of many homogeneous
outfits, including many detachments of Signal Corps out-
fits as well as units of the AACS (Army Airways Com-
munication System).. .Their work, while still listed as
“secret,” is, suffice to say, vastly important and most
of the men stationed there are trained’ technicians. . .
Most of them are l'ecent arrivals in Iceland (February,
March, April) and this is reflected in their morale—
which is high...Such men as they are even considered
“old timers” now...for they have recently been busy
welcoming an even more recent shipment of men into
their midst. . .A coi'dial welcome to the following AACS
men, who arrived July 7th: S/Sgt. Lawrence W. Hoi'n-
feck; T/5 Hei’bert G. Eisenman; T/5 Raphael T. George;
T/5 Hilai’d E. Heigel; T/5 Jesse G. Hughes; T/5 Douglas
R. Larsen; T/5 Gilbert J. Metz; T/5 William A. Sapper;
T/5 Soloman S. Schnell; Pfc. Charles M. Humphrey; Pfc.
Russell D. Hunt; Pfc. Eugene J. Stanis. Lt. Lucian P.
Lanham headed the group of replacements.
As announced elsewhere in the FALCON this week,
another Manza—Ashworth production is under way...
Opening next week in Camp Turner, “Strictly GI” is just
that...Such skits as “Weak, Lame and Lazy,” “You’re
On the Air” and “P. X. LeLuxe” are poignant satires
on Army life as some see it. . . Nothing is spared. . . no-
thing is sacred... There is even a take-off on the FAL-
CON reporter (referring to whom?)...Only in this in-
stance it will be THE BROWN FALCON. . .Ralph, suffer-
ing all the qualms of a producer prior to a new open-
ing, is feai-ful of following so closely upon the excellent
“Contact Caravan” show recently seen here...But he
should have no fears, for anyone knowing the Manza—
Ashworth team, cannot doubt the success of such a show.
