LONDON, May 29th.
Enemy air activity over Britain last night
was a,gain ion a sniall öcaile- One German
bomber was brought dowln.
Brítish bombers attacked several plaoes
in Northwest Germany despite. unfavour-
able weather pondit'ions.
A German merchant ship was intercepted
by a British warship w:hile on her way
frorn South America to Franiœ.
MR. EDEN ON POSTWAR PLANS
LONDON, May 29th.
Today Mr. Anthony Eden spoke ioíf
Britain’s plans for the postwar iwiorld- He
stated that Britain’s aims were to free the
postwar (wloríd of fear, prevent unemploy-
ment and disiorder of currenicy, do every-
thing for the revival of* international trade
and s-eek to achieve this without inter-
fering iwith the proper liberty of each
oountry.
Germany would have to iwiork together
with other nations for this objeot but it
should never be forgotten that Germany
strives for world mastery and five times
in the last century she had violated the

NEW GOVERNMENT IN IRAQ
LÖNDON, May 29th.
Latest news fnom Iraq reveals that British
artillery is pounding rebel positions at
Ramida. By cutting throiugh the banks of
irrigation canals and thus flooding the land
the rebels had prepared very strong de-
defence positions. \ ' IJjT
The regent of Iraq has arrived in Fallujah,
were he wfill form a new goveimment. The
Government will then move to Bagdad
when British troops have occupied the towin.
The regent has received messages of con-
gratulation and loyalty from people all ov-
er thö öountry.
