London, August 13th.
The Air Ministry communiqué today states: Despite bad
weather last night aircraft o£ the Bomber Command made heavy
attacks on Germany ovter a wide area. The main targets were
objectives in Berlin and the industrial districts of Magdeburg
and Hanover. Krupps armament works at Essen were also
hombed. In Berlin large fires which were started were increasing
when our aircraft left and much damage was also done in other
attacks. Objectives were also bombed in many other places in
Germany including Stettin, Kiel, Bremen, Osnabruck, Duisburg
and Cologne. Aerodromes in Holland and docks at Le Havre were
also attacked.
From all these operations thir-
teen bombers are missing.
