Control Sunk off Ice- land London, Sept. 9. The United Státes state De- partment has announced that a ship under American control has been torpedoed while bringing supplies of food to Iceland. She is the Ex-Danish ship “Sessa” of 1,700 tons. Twenty four members of the crew, in- cluding one American are presumed lost, and there are three survivors. She was torpedoed 300 miles south west of Iceland on Aug- ust 17.
